Jr. Historical Society Cemetery Taskforce Recruits

Dear Recruits,

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to:

record the location of Franklin County cemeteries using GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) Devices.
plot the location of individual tombstones within a cemetery
document individual tombstones through written records and digital photographs.

You will be assisted by your adult mentor and communications you may obtain through this website.

Your next step? Become a Cemetery Taskforce member. Contact Donald Dunaway, Cemetery Information Association member and Taskforce Coordinator. He will provide parental consent forms. Upon receipt of the completed forms, Mr. Dunaway will pair you with an adult mentor. You, your mentor, and fellow Taskforce members will record your designated cemetery.

Good luck! Remember, our heritage can only be preserved through the efforts of dedicated volunteers such as you.
