Communicating Information

The last area is communicating information to various audiences. This is an area where students can use a variety of multimedia elements. Use epals to locate other classrooms. Then, share your projects. For example, many students participate in ThinkQuest projects as a way of communicating information to others.

Explore varied products for your communications including text, visuals, audio, and videos.

Keys to Success
The key to success with a project is focusing on learning. Get students involved with authentic, problem-based, project-based, or inquiry learning activities.

A common problem with technology projects is information overload. Help students deal with these problems through careful planning. Provide guidelines, models, and process checks.

Ask students to create meaningful products. Encourage creativity. Reach outside your classroom to real-world audiences for your student projects.

Mix traditional resources and new technology including books, maps, globes, natural objects, and historical objects.

Design an activity learning environment for your students.

What's the role of technology?
